World Religions Symposium 2024

Experience studies in religion at UQ.

Explore how major world religions have had, and continue to have, profound impacts on societies around the globe.

Year 11 secondary school students across South East Queensland are invited to the St Lucia campus for a day of discovery. Students can choose from sessions throughout the day on topics such as Islam and Society, Science and Religion Conflict, Hinduism, and The Ethics and Reception of Job.

What’s involved

  • Experience a day at the St Lucia campus of The University of Queensland
  • Hear from world-leading scholars in the study of religion
  • Learn about specific religions and the place of religion in the contemporary world

Who should attend

  • Year 11 students across South East Queensland with an interest in studies in religion
  • Teachers
  • Career advisors

Cost

Registration is $5 per student. Teachers are free.
