Applying for the Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours)

The Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) is designed to produce newly qualified dentists who can meet competencies set by the Dental Board of Australia.

To apply for the Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours), make sure you meet the program's minimum entry requirements. These are listed on the Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) program page.

You'll also have to sit the University Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT). UCAT results are valid for 1 year.

How you'll be assessed

QTAC assesses all applications based on subject prerequisites and entry scores, and ranks each eligible applicant.

If applicants have the same OP or rank, QTAC uses their UCAT aggregate score from the first 4 sections as a secondary differentiator.

The UCAT section 5 (Situational Judgement) score will be used as a tertiary differentiator between applicants with the same UCAT ANZ aggregate. If another differentiator is required, the UCAT ANZ Section 1 (Verbal Reasoning) score will be used.

The required scores depend on the performance of applicants in each intake — they can't be determined in advance.

Check the Bachelor of Dental Science (Honours) program page for entry requirements and how to apply.
