  • a citizen of Australia or New Zealand,
  • an Australian permanent resident, or
  • a holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa.

You're an international student if you are:

  • intending to study on a student visa,
  • not a citizen of Australia or New Zealand,
  • not an Australian permanent resident, or
  • a temporary resident (visa status) of Australia.

Review entry requirements

Honours

To be considered for an offer to an honours program, you'll need to meet all the entry requirements.

Check the program page for specific entry requirements. They may include:

  • a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) from a recognised university
  • a minimum grade point average (GPA)
  • other program-specific entry requirements.

If you're from a non-English speaking background, you'll also have to meet ourĀ English language requirements.

Some programs have limited places available and competition for admission is high. It's possible that you may meet the minimum entry requirements, but not be offered a place.
