2. Entry requirements

Applicants must satisfy course prerequisites to gain admission.

Course prerequisites

Entry to many UQ courses relies on you having satisfied specific prerequisites.

Prerequisites can differ greatly from course to course and can include completion of other tertiary-level studies if the course is advanced in nature.

In circumstances where you do not meet the course prerequisites, previous or alternative study may be considered. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the relevant school or faculty.

Some programs also have recommended non-compulsory prerequisite study that will ensure you have a better understanding of program material.

If you are from a non-English speaking background you must also demonstrate your English language proficiency (PDF, 458KB) for tertiary admission.

Please see the course you are interested in studying for specific entry requirement information.
