2. Entry requirements

A degree from UQ is a qualification the world will recognise. Ranked well inside the world’s top 100, we’re dedicated to providing quality higher education to students of outstanding achievement and potential from all educational backgrounds.

Our entry requirements for postgraduate coursework study reflect this level of excellence, with applicants needing to meet minimum eligibility criteria to be considered for admission. This may include:

  • an acceptable academic qualification or relevant professional experience
  • compliance with any special entry requirements for your chosen program.

Many postgraduate programs at UQ accept any bachelor degree for entry so you can prepare yourself for a new career without having to complete another undergraduate degree.

Applicants from a non-English speaking background must also demonstrate their English language proficiency (PDF, 467KB) for tertiary admission.

Please see the academic program you are interested in studying for specific entry requirement information.
