Applying to study a postgraduate coursework program is easy. Applications should be submitted directly to UQ or through a UQ representative in your country.
Find the postgraduate courswork program you want to study. Ensure you meet all entry requirements and that the application deadline has not passed.
Use UQ Online Applications to create an account.
Complete all details on the application form and include all required documents and information requests. You can save an incomplete form and return later.
Please note that the total file size limit is 12MB. We recommend you upload documents as PDFs to reduce their file size.
You will need to provide a complete academic transcript and/or testamurs with your application.
The transcript should detail all of the courses you studied and any degrees/diplomas that were awarded. You only need to submit an academic transcript for non-UQ programs.
If you would like to apply for an English-language pathway package, please indicate this during the application process.
If you are satisfied your application is complete, please submit it.
After submission, you can access your application through My Applications.
A non-refundable AU$100 fee is charged for each submitted application.
If you are applying for an English-language pathway package, please also download a hard-copy ICTE-UQ enrolment form (PDF, 410KB).
Please email completed forms to firstname.lastname@example.org.
A non-refundable AU$150 fee is charged if you use hard-copy forms.
Applications for Semester 1 are usually due by 30 November of the previous year. For Semester 2, applications are usually due by 31 May of the same year.
Some programs have different closing dates – these will be listed on the relevant Future Students program page.
Late applications might be considered, but this can't be guaranteed. You must leave enough time for the University to process your application and to issue an offer.
You must also leave enough time to organise your student visa.
We can consider applications up to two years in advance, so we recommend applying early. Please note that some programs have limited places.
For all ICTE-UQ courses, including the Bridging English Program (BEP), the deadline to apply, accept your offer and pay tuition fees, is four weeks before the course start date.
ICTE-UQ cannot guarantee that places will be available after the deadline. Late applications are assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Your application will be assessed by UQ International Admissions who will contact you through UQ Online Applications with any updates or any requests for additional information.
You can also manage your application through My Applications.
