Prerequisites are intended to ensure students have an appropriate level of foundational knowledge to successfully undertake a program.

There are different ways you can satisfy prerequisites for undergraduate programs. These include: 

Senior external examinations

Each year, the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority administers the following examinations:

  • English
  • Mathematics A
  • Mathematics B
  • Biological Science
  • Chemistry
  • Physics.

Minimum grade required: Sound Achievement.

Unilearn

Unilearn offers self-paced distance education modules based on the following Year 12 subjects:

  • Senior Mathematics (Mathematics B)
  • Chemistry 
  • Biology 
  • Physics.

USQ tertiary preparation program

The University of Southern Queensland offers the following studies on an external basis:

  • Studying to Succeed (English)
  • Maths Tertiary Level A, or Maths Tertiary Level B (Mathematics A)
  • Maths Tertiary Level C, or Maths Tertiary Level D (Mathematics B).

Minimum grade required: Pass (or 4).
