8. Responding to your offer

Once your application has been reviewed – and if you satisfy all entry requirements – you will be sent an offer letter.

If there are conditions you need to satisfy, you will be sent a conditional offer. You must meet any conditions before you can accept your offer.

Please read your letter carefully for specific information about how to accept.

If you applied through UQ Online Applications, please log in to:

  • accept your offer,
  • pay your deposit, and
  • arrange your Overseas Student Healthcare Cover.

If you did not apply through UQ Online Applications, you will need to email applicationstatus@uq.edu.au. Please send your:

  • signed acceptance and payment details form,
  • tuition fee deposit, and
  • Overseas Student Healthcare Cover payment.

Important payment information

UQ uses Flywire for tuition fee deposits. Flywire lets you securely pay your deposit from almost any country, or bank, in your home currency.

After accepting your offer, you will receive an email when your invoice has been prepared. When you receive this email:

  1. Log in to My Applications
  2. Click the payment request notification. You will then be directed to the payment page.
  3. Select the Flywire payment method to initiate a secure payment. Follow the step-by-step instructions to pay.

What happens next?

The University will process your payment and if everything is satisfactory we will issue a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE).

A CoE is an official document that confirms you have accepted a place in a UQ program and you have paid your deposit. You need a CoE to apply for a student visa.

Log in to My Applications to view your CoE once it has been issued.

If you wish to defer the commencement of your program, please contact UQ International Admissions for advice.

Next steps

Apply for a student visa

To apply for a visa, lodge a student visa application form with your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) to your nearest Australian High Commission or Embassy.

If you have a package offer, both CoEs need to be submitted when you apply for a visa.

Once you have accepted your place in a UQ program, you will need to enrol in courses.

Attend Orientation and begin your UQ study experience

With a full program of social and academic activities, Orientation Week – or “O-Week” – is designed to introduce you to life and study at UQ.

O-Week is held in the week immediately before the start of Semester 1 and Semester 2. It's a great way to meet new people and make the transition to university.
