9. Student visas and next steps

Once you've accepted your offer and received your Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE), you may be eligible to apply for a Student visa (subclass 500) and begin the enrolment process.

Apply for a student visa

Visa applications can be submitted online through the Department of Immigration and Border Protection. Alternatively, an approved UQ agent in your country can provide assistance.

You will need your CoE in order to apply. If you have a package offer, both CoEs need to be submitted.

Orientation, or "O-Week", is held immediately before the start of Semester 1 and Semester 2.

This week-long event is designed to introduce you to life and study at UQ. It's also a great way to meet new people, get academic support and ease the transition to university.
