A glimpse into studying entomology at UQ.

Are you interested in the study of insects and their allies? 

We rely on insects in intricate ways: new biomaterials, robotics, agriculture, medicine, and future food! Explore the weird and whimsical world of insects, the most diverse group of terrestrial life forms.

Attend class as if you were at university, and learn about the diverse range of careers in entomology that await you after you complete a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) at UQ.

What's involved

  • Mini-lecture on Australian glow-worms by Associate Professor David Merritt 
  • Information session on pathways to studying entomology and complementary disciplines  
  • Meet current staff and students.
