Event sessions

Considering studying agriculture, agribusiness, plant or animal sciences?

Explore our vast, rural Gatton campus and visit a few of the facilities you'll access while studying here. You'll meet current students and educators who will share the social and academic opportunities available to you as a UQ student.

What's involved

  • Walking tour around central areas of campus
  • Bus tour showcasing key areas of interest on the wider 1000 hectare campus
  • Tour the Halls of Residence to discover what it’s like to live on campus
  • Tour of the UQ VETS Veterinary Medical Centre to see where veterinary science and veterinary technology students develop their practical skills.

Please wear closed footwear as it's a requirement of some facility tours.


  • Tour the Equine Unit following the campus tour (12.45pm to 1.15pm) to explore where equine and animal science students get hands-on experience with horses.

Who can attend

  • Mature-aged students
  • Parents and guardians
  • Careers advisors
  • Teachers and principals
  • Domestic or international future students aged 15 or over. All students under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
