Semester 2, 2021 Starter Program – Science

Interactive webinars for international students starting in Semester 2, 2021.

You and your family are invited to join us for a series of interactive online sessions from April to July to help you transition to studying at UQ.

Who can attend

  • International students who have submitted an application to study a science program at UQ in Semester 2, 2021.
  • International students with an offer to study a science program at UQ in Semester 2, 2021. 
  • Parents of international students.

What's involved

You can attend regular, interactive online sessions with international student advisers, academics, current students and the careers team to kickstart your UQ journey.

Session times are in Brisbane (GMT+10) time zone.

Saturday 15 May, 3.30–5.50pm Skill up with science
Learn about careers and employability services, internship opportunities and research programs. 
Saturday 29 May, 3.30–5.50pm UQ Science boot camp meet your academics
Meeting your lecturers and take a virtual tour of the labs on campus.
Saturday 12 June, 3.30–5.50pm Top tips for success with UQ Science
Learn about orientation, key dates and where to go for support.
Sunday 13 June, 4–5.15pm Commencing at UQ in 2021
A recap webinar if you couldn't attend our welcome webinar. This session will provide an overview of what to expect from your UQ adventure.
Saturday 3 July, 3.30–5.50pm Connect with UQ Science: social shenanigans
Come along for some online fun and games, and get to know your new UQ classmates.
