Interested in a rewarding career in governance and public policy? UQ offers five postgraduate programs that will develop your practical knowledge and high level research skills, and provide you with a critical, enquiring approach to questions of governance and policy development in the modern world. 

Graduate Certificate in Governance and Public Policy
This six-month program will suit those with an approved degree or equivalent in any discipline or who have a combination of work experience and approved post-secondary study.
Graduate Diploma in Governance and Public Policy
This one-year program builds on your core knowledge and allows you to further focus your studies in one or two specialised fields. It can provide a pathway to one of our master's programs.
Master of Governance and Public Policy – 16 units
Enhance your existing knowledge and skills in this one-year program suitable for those with an honours degree looking to develop a career in governance and policy
Master of Governance and Public Policy – 24 units
Undertake high-level coursework in this 18-month program. It's ideal for those with a qualification in the same area, or a degree and professional experience.
Master of Governance and Public Policy – 32 units
This two-year program will suit those with an approved degree in any discipline looking to further their knowledge and skills in governance and public policy.
