UQ offers scholarships for high-achieving international students in a range of disciplines.

The latest opportunities include BEL Global Leaders Scholarships, opportunities for students interested in the Bachelor of Music (Honours), and upcoming awards in early 2019 for Agriculture, Food and Veterinary Sciences.

2018 scholarships

Business, Economics and Law Global Leaders Scholarships

The Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL) offers Global Leaders Scholarships to high-achieving international students who will commence their undergraduate or postgraduate coursework studies at UQ in Semester 1, 2019. Citizens from the following countries and regions are eligible to apply:

Europe Hong Kong Indonesia Latin America Macau Malaysia Singapore Taiwan (China) Vietnam

Applications close on 30 November 2018.

Humanities – Education, Psychology and Music scholarships

Barbara Hebden Music Bursary

The Barbara Hebden Music Bursary supports a student enrolling in the first year of the Bachelor of Music (Honours) program. The $7000 award will be granted to the applicant showing greatest merit in the audition.

The Howard and Gladys Sleath Scholarship

This scholarship supports a student enrolling in the first year of the Bachelor of Music (Honours) program who is undertaking practical study of an orchestral stringed instrument played with a bow. The $7000 award will be granted to the applicant showing greatest merit greatest merit in the audition.

Agriculture and Food Sciences Scholarships

The James and Everingham Bursary

This scholarship supports students enrolled in programs relating to food technology or rural agriculture.

Veterinary Science Scholarships

Miriam E. Wippell Undergraduate Scholarship

The Miriam E. Wippell Undergraduate Scholarship supports a student entering tertiary study for the first time and undertaking an undergraduate program in the field of veterinary science. The award value is approximately $750 per semester, for the five year duration of the Veterinary Science program.
