Hi, my name is Lijun and I studied at The University of Queensland.
Hello, my name is Lijun and I studied a Master of Business at The University of Queensland.

Why did you choose to study at UQ?

UQ is a world-class university that provides high quality education. It has the best team and great support for study, including teaching equipment and lecturers.

What did you like most about living in Brisbane?

Brisbane is my favourite city in the world. It has a very good natural environment and it’s quiet and clean. People are very nice here – a couple even helped me find my way home when I got lost in the first week!

How did your UQ study experience empower you to create change?

The experience was really different from China. Studying at UQ gave me the opportunity to challenge and improve myself. For example, by doing group projects, I learned how to communicate with group members in a more efficient way, and how to use different software.

UQ enabled me to see more, hear more and learn more, both theoretically and practically.

Have you been involved in any social activities or extra-curricular activities at UQ?

I was a volunteer in a non-profit organisation (Focus on Youth) where I helped take care of teenagers who have disabilities during outdoor activities.

What are your future career aspirations?

The China-Australia Free Trade Agreement has opened up a lot of opportunities for Australia. Australian food and agribusiness is a very promising industry and I hope I can work in this field or start my own business by leveraging the good reputation of the high-quality produce here.

What advice would you give people from other countries about studying at UQ?

UQ has all the resources to help you achieve your success. If you want to make a difference then come here with your enthusiasm. You won't regret it!
