Studio culture

Develop your designs and test your ideas in the UQ architecture studio.

UQ is one of the few universities to offer dedicated 24/7 design studios for students. The boutique size of our programs means you'll study in a collaborative community of students, academics and architects.

Supercharged careers

A UQ degree can change how you see the world, and how the world sees you.

Recent graduate Coby Tomlins won the Minister's Town Planning Prize for research she conducted in her final year. You can start developing your career from year one to get your future off to a flying start.

International perspective

Enrol in field study courses to Indonesia, Vietnam and Hong Kong to focus on urban development.

You can also spend time abroad with one of 180-plus partner universities, including the University of California, University College Dublin and the National University of Singapore.

For me the great enjoyment comes from seeing projects that I have led or worked on come to life. We are moving into a new technological era and I think planning has many opportunities to adopt and apply new technologies to make our cities smarter.
