Admissions criteria

Prerequisites

Bachelor degree or equivalent as approved by the Executive Dean with a GPA of at least 4.00 on a 7 point scale; OR post-secondary study and at least five years full-time work experience as approved by the Executive Dean; OR seven years full-time work experience as approved by the Executive Dean.

Students must also be part of an approved cohort.

Financial Leadership in the Public Sector

The Graduate Certificate in Business Leadership is a fully customisable program, which can be tailored to your organisational needs and contextualised to your sector. Insurance Business

The Graduate Certificate in Business Leadership is designed to allow professionals to enhance key competencies and skills required to succeed in a business environment. The Insurance Business field of study is aimed at lawyers and practitioners within the insurances and financial services industries to develop such skills.

Medical Leadership

The Medical Leadership Program (MLP) is a tailor-made Graduate Certificate in Business Leadership (GCBusLead) designed specifically for UQ Medical students and resident doctors in Australia. UQ Faculty of Medicine, in partnership with UQ Business School Executive Education, developed the MLP to provide UQ Medical students and resident doctors with a pathway for gaining contextualized leadership skills. The MLP focuses on building participants' leadership skills, and covers a range of topics, including service strategy, communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking. To ensure that learning outcomes are industry focused, the MLP incorporates case studies and action learning techniques, where participants work in groups to solve real business problems. Upon successfully completing the MLP, participants receive a GCBusLead postgraduate qualification in addition to their medical degree.

Government assistance

FEE-HELP

Domestic students who are accepted into the Graduate Certificate in Business Leadership pay tuition fees.
