Dual Major

Drug Design & Development & Innovation Management

Bachelor of Biotechnology (Honours)

The Drug Design and Development major will teach you about drug discovery and development – specifically how chemical compounds are identified, selected and developed into drug products.

As a student in the Drug Design and Development major, you'll develop a solid knowledge of pharmacology, chemistry and biochemistry, which are all appropriate for a career in the pharmaceutical industry. You'll also focus on the processes behind identifying new drugs and their targets, and the steps required to take drugs to the market, including the preclinical and clinical development process.

This major is accredited by the Royal Australian Chemical Institute, which ensures your study of chemistry is rigorous and thorough.

Combine any Biotechnology major with Innovation Management to develop your business knowledge through the study of intellectual property law, financing ventures, managing people, building networks and alliances, competing internationally, managing projects, marketing products and services, and planning in a competitive environment.
