Dual Major

Chemical and Environmental Engineering

Bachelors of Engineering (Honours)/Science

Chemical and environmental engineers apply the principles of engineering and science to protect and mitigate damage to the environment. They also develop environmentally friendly products and sustainable processes.

With this major, you'll tackle current and future environmental challenges as an accredited chemical engineer with additional technical expertise in environmental regulations and sustainable management of water, energy and waste.

You'll work on the development of sustainable systems and gain specialist skills in modelling and analytical measurement in laboratory, field and industrial settings, including basic sampling design and data analysis.

Create sustainable solutions

  • Chemical and environmental engineers balance innovation, design and developments with environmental considerations.
  • They apply their knowledge and skills to discover processes and operations that focus on sustainable outcomes that produce less waste and energy in their developments.
