Entry requirements
Prerequisites
- A Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from UQ, with a GPA of 4.5; or
- A bachelor degree or equivalent with a GPA of at least 4.
All applicants must have completed at least four years full-time work experience post-graduation, including at least two years full-time work experience gained while working in a dedicated supervisory/management role, as approved by the Executive Dean.
All applicants must satisfy the Executive Dean that they are suitably qualified for admission.
International applicants must complete the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) with a minimum score of 550.
Applicants may be required to pass a qualifying examination in one or all of the following before enrolment is approved: basic computing, written communication, basic mathematics, and statistics.

- Evidence of work experience including details of management experience in the form of a CV. Please ensure that your CV includes your full work history, and outlines the major activities you undertake on a daily basis.
- Two written references that are work related. Your referees need to substantiate the nature of your work and the managerial duties you currently perform. They should verify details including but not limited to: managing a team of people, managing client accounts, the managerial components of any major projects you have been directly responsible for, and/or financial delegations for which you are directly responsible. All references should be dated, signed and preferably on company letterhead. All references must be to the satisfaction of the MBA Director
- Evidence of residency status.
- Permanent residents will be required to sit an IELTS and/or GMAT test as deemed necessary by the School for admission purposes.

Student visas
International students who are accepted into full-time study in the Master of Business Administration are eligible to apply for an Australian student visa (subclass 500).
There are a number of requirements you must satisfy before a visa is granted, including the genuine temporary entrant (GTE) requirement.
Fees and Scholarships

This indicative annual fee is the cost of enrolling in the Master of Business Administration for the 2021 academic year. It is calculated based on an intensive full-time study load.
If you do not enrol in the intensive study load, your fees will be calculated on a proportionate basis. All fees are reviewed annually.

This indicative annual fee is the approximate cost of enrolling full-time in the Master of Business Administration for the 2021 academic year.
It is based on the completion of 24 units over two semesters to finish the program within one year. The University indexes tuition fees each year.
