Hong Kong

If you completed the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE), your grade average will be determined by a combined total of your best five subjects (Category A, B or C).5* and 5***=6, 5=5, 4=4, 3=3, 2=2, 1=1, A*=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1 and Attained with Distinction=3.

If you received 'Attained with Distinction', the subject results will be used for all subjects with the exception of Mathematics. For Mathematics, if two modules are undertaken, the average of the two reported subject results will be taken. The compulsory module, taken on its own, will count as a full subject.

To meet the minimum entry score, you need to have successfully completed:

  • the Republic of Korea high school diploma; and
  • the College of Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) in the following subjects:

    • Mathematics (either stream); and
