Some communities in Australia face unique challenges, which is why have a range of special entry pathways and schemes to help students applying for the Doctor of Medicine. 

All Year 12 students are also eligible to apply for the UQ Bonus Rank Scheme

Rural Access Scheme

Eligible Year 12 applicants from Australian rural and regional areas can have two bonus points added onto their entry rank for the Doctor of Medicine (Provisional Entry).

Each year, 28 per cent of all domestic places in the Doctor of Medicine intake are assigned to applicants from an Australian rural background.

If you are a current school leaver and wish to apply for UQ's Doctor of Medicine (MD), submit your application online through the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC).
