The Co-Op bookshop

Food and coffee
Whether you’re chasing your caffeine fix, grabbing a bite between lectures, or looking for somewhere to unwind, there are many cafes, restaurants, snack spots and places to hang out across all of our campuses.
Banks and post offices
We have a range of ATMs on site for when you need some quick cash, and St Lucia has ANZ and Commonwealth bank branches on campus. There is also access to Post Offices for handy things like passport pictures, international money exchange and sending mail.
The UQ Health Service (UQHS) is a fully accredited health facility that provides comprehensive and confidential health services for UQ students. Whether you're starting to develop a cold, or have questions for a doctor you feel comfortable with, UQ Health Services can help.
With independently operated childcare, kindergarten and after-school-care facilities all available to UQ students on or near the St Lucia, Gatton and Herston campuses we can assure you there is support close by to keep your little ones occupied.
Security on campus
We want you to feel safe on UQ campuses all day, every day, and with our 24-hour security patrols and purpose built UniSafe program specifically created for UQ campuses, you can feel secure whenever you are here.
You’ll find clothing, music, books, magazines and snacks, as well as plenty of other specialist stores across UQ campuses, plus hairdressers, travel agents and chances to pick up handcrafted gifts and fashion at Market Days!

If you’re into live gigs, the festival atmosphere, or even if symphonies are your thing, music can be a big part of your time at UQ.

Live at The Red Room
With a brilliant venue, sound system and crowd (you), the Red Room has played host to some great local musicians, emerging stars, and even a few cult favourites.
If epic music, open spaces and like-minded folk sound good to you, UQ Union organises a range of events throughout the year that are sure to suit you perfectly!
What’s On
From Eurovision parties to symphonies at Customs House – music covers a multitude of bases and you can be across every opportunity to hear it all.
