It is widely acknowledged around the world that the answer is ‘the capacity for critical and innovative thinking’. But what is critical and innovative thinking? Why is it the ultimate ‘21st century skill’? And what does it take to become a critical and innovative thinker? In this presentation, Professor Deborah Brown outlines some of the steps to becoming a critical and innovative thinker and why it is important for students to be trained in critical thinking.
